WordPress plugins, bespoke themes and maintenance

For anyone who already runs WordPress or prefers it: Tejobit builds bespoke plugins and themes and keeps WordPress and WooCommerce sites up to date, secure and backed up.

Abstract render: a solid blue block slotting into a structure of glass blocks, like a plugin into a system.

What is included

From the plugin to monthly maintenance

  • Bespoke plugins

The exact feature the site needs, in a dedicated plugin, instead of stacking generic ones.

  • Bespoke themes

A lightweight theme built from the design, with editable blocks in the WordPress editor.

  • WooCommerce

Customisation of the shop, checkout and orders, and connections to invoicing or carriers.

  • Tested updates

WordPress, themes and plugins updated regularly and checked before they reach the live site.

  • Backups

Regular backups stored off the server, and restores that are verified, not just assumed.

  • Rescuing a site

The project nobody wants to touch: finding out what is really broken and fixing it until it can evolve again.

Typical cases

When it makes sense

  • A slow site full of plugins

Overlapping plugins, a heavy theme and a home page that takes ages to open on mobile.

  • A feature no plugin does well

A specific business rule that existing plugins only half solve.

  • An inherited site with nobody maintaining it

The previous provider left and nobody knows what is installed or when it was last updated.

  • A growing WooCommerce shop

More orders, more exceptions and the need to connect the shop to other systems.

How it works

Working on WordPress without the scares

  1. 01

    Starting point

Versions, plugins, theme, hosting and backups: the starting point is recorded.

  2. 02

    Proposal

What gets built or fixed, the price and, if it makes sense, the maintenance plan.

  3. 03

    Test environment

Changes are made and tested on a copy of the site before they go public.

  4. 04

    Release and maintenance

A supervised release, followed by monthly maintenance or support when needed.

Frequently asked questions

Before you start

What does monthly maintenance include?

Updates, security, backups and small changes. The details and the price are set out in writing.

Is it worth moving away from WordPress?

Not always. If WordPress serves the team well, the best move is often to make it lighter and more secure. For other cases there are alternatives, described on the CMS page.

Does a bespoke plugin tie you to whoever built it?

It should not. The code follows WordPress conventions and is delivered with documentation, so another developer can maintain it.

Does the site have to change hosting?

Not necessarily. If the current hosting is causing problems, the proposal explains why and what to change.

A WordPress site that needs attention?

Send the site's address and describe what is failing or missing. The reply sets out what to do first and what it costs.
