EuPago integration

Requests MB WAY, Multibanco and card payments through the EuPago API and uses its webhook to move orders and invoices forward.

Overview

EuPago

EuPago is a Portuguese payment institution offering Multibanco, MB WAY, cards, Payshop and other methods through an API keyed per channel. A channel usually maps to one website or one line of business.

Instead of exporting transactions from the backoffice and matching them in a spreadsheet, Tejobit lets the company's own system talk to EuPago directly. The payment request goes out when the sale happens, and the EuPago webhook reports back to the same place.

It pays off once volume makes manual reconciliation unreliable: event registrations, repeat orders, service invoices paid by reference.

Use cases

What it is for

  • An event organiser selling tickets by MB WAY and emailing the ticket as soon as payment lands
  • A services company adding a Multibanco reference to every invoice it emails
  • A shop selling regional produce that takes cards and MB WAY in a custom checkout
  • An accountant who wants the month's payments already matched to invoices
IN

What the connection listens to

  • EuPago webhook confirming a payment
  • A new sale, registration or invoice in the source system
  • Refunds and pending payments, reviewed on a schedule
OUT

What the connection does

  • Create Multibanco references and MB WAY requests through the API, on the right channel
  • Start a card payment and hand the link to the customer
  • Update the order, registration or invoice to paid
  • Pass the receipt details to the invoicing software
  • Log every transaction in a sheet or database for bookkeeping

How it works

From the request to a working connection

  1. 01

    Request

The form names the integration, the tools involved and what should happen in each case.

  2. 02

    Review and proposal

Tejobit confirms what the API allows and sends a proposal with the flow, the price and the timeline.

  3. 03

    Setup and testing

The connection is set up with the business's own accounts and tested with real cases before it goes live.

  4. 04

    Maintenance and monitoring

Tejobit hosts the connection, follows up on errors and adapts it when the API changes.

The connection runs on Tejobit's infrastructure. The monthly fee covers hosting, monitoring and API changes.

What to prepare

  • An active EuPago account with the payment methods you need
  • The channel API key and the webhook URL set in the backoffice
  • Which channel belongs to which website or activity
  • Access to the system where sales are recorded

For security, do not send passwords, API keys or tokens through the form. Credentials are requested through a secure channel when the setup starts.

Limits

  • Available methods depend on the EuPago contract
  • Multibanco refunds are not instant; the final status arrives later
  • EuPago does not issue certified invoices; the connection feeds the invoicing program

Frequently asked questions

Before you start

I run two websites. Do I need two connections?

Not necessarily. Each site can have its own EuPago channel, and one connection uses the right key depending on where the sale came from.

What if a webhook never arrives?

The connection logs every notification and, for payments left pending too long, checks their status with EuPago so nothing stays open.

Does it work alongside Moloni or InvoiceXpress?

Yes. The EuPago payment confirmation goes to the invoicing program, which issues the receipt and reports it to the Tax Authority.

Set up the EuPago integration?

Describe what should pass between the tools. The reply confirms feasibility, price and timeline.
