Bookings
FareHarbor integration
Tour and activity operators: every FareHarbor booking becomes the right document in the invoicing software, with no manual exports.
Overview
FareHarbor
FareHarbor is a booking system for tours, boat trips, equipment rental and outdoor activities. It manages availability per item and time slot, takes bookings on the operator's site and through resellers, and handles online payment.
Plenty of operators still export bookings to a spreadsheet and retype them into their billing program. Tejobit removes that step. The connection receives FareHarbor bookings and creates the document in Moloni, Sage, Evoliz or another tool with the customer name, item, activity date and amount paid. Where the business invoices in Portugal, the certified program issues the document and reports it to the tax authority.
Access to the FareHarbor External API is not self-service: it is requested from FareHarbor and only switched on once approved. Tejobit handles that request together with the operator.
Use cases
What it is for
- A boat trip company in Lagos that wants one invoice-receipt per paid booking instead of a nightly copy job.
- A Lisbon walking tour operator selling through agencies that must keep direct and reseller bookings apart.
- A surf school in Ericeira billing lessons and board rental at different VAT rates.
- A jeep safari business whose refunded cancellations need a matching credit note.
- An operator whose outside accountant wants a daily summary of bookings and documents issued.
What the connection listens to
- FareHarbor booking notifications (new, changed and cancelled bookings), as allowed by the approved setup.
- Scheduled API checks for bookings and payments that are not pushed.
- End of day, to build the accountant's summary.
What the connection does
- Creates the customer and document in Moloni, Sage or another tool from the booking.
- Applies the right VAT rate per item type (activity, rental, extras).
- Prepares the credit note when a paid booking is cancelled and refunded.
- Separates direct and reseller bookings for commission handling and billing party.
- Sends a daily summary by email or to a spreadsheet.
How it works
From the request to a working connection
- 01
Request
The form names the integration, the tools involved and what should happen in each case.
- 02
Review and proposal
Tejobit confirms what the API allows and sends a proposal with the flow, the price and the timeline.
- 03
Setup and testing
The connection is set up with the business's own accounts and tested with real cases before it goes live.
- 04
Maintenance and monitoring
Tejobit hosts the connection, follows up on errors and adapts it when the API changes.
The connection runs on Tejobit's infrastructure. The monthly fee covers hosting, monitoring and API changes.
What to prepare
- An active FareHarbor account and an External API request approved by FareHarbor.
- A map of items to products and VAT rates in the invoicing software.
- Rules for cancellations, partial refunds and reseller bookings.
- Access to the invoicing tool and the series to use.
For security, do not send passwords, API keys or tokens through the form. Credentials are requested through a secure channel when the setup starts.
Limits
- The FareHarbor External API is only available after approval, on FareHarbor's timeline.
- Not every change is pushed (some payment movements, for example), so the connection also polls the API.
- Group bookings with several customer types are invoiced per line; manual custom prices need rules agreed in advance.
Frequently asked questions
Before you start
Does FareHarbor need to approve API access?
Yes, FareHarbor approves each integration. Tejobit drafts the technical description for the request and completes the setup once it is granted.
What about bookings sold by agencies?
They can be invoiced to the end customer or to the agency, depending on the deal. The connection reads the booking source and applies the matching rule.
Can Sage be used instead of Moloni?
Yes. The flow stays the same; only the receiving invoicing tool changes.
Are past bookings invoiced too?
Only on request. By default the connection starts from an agreed date to avoid duplicating documents already issued by hand.
