Payments

Viva Wallet integration

Brings Viva Wallet payments from physical terminals and online into one flow, with invoices and refunds handled by webhook.

Overview

Viva Wallet

Viva Wallet, now branded as Viva, is common in Portuguese restaurants, cafés and local shops thanks to its card terminals and the app that turns a phone into one. It also offers an online checkout and payment links.

Tejobit connects Viva webhooks to the company's own system. A payment taken at the terminal, through Smart Checkout or by link raises the same event, and the connection treats it the same way: confirm the transaction, update the sale and pass the data to the invoicing program.

Businesses with their own POS or booking software can also have the connection push the amount to the terminal, so nobody keys it in by hand.

Use cases

What it is for

  • A restaurant charging on Viva terminals that wants sales in the back-office without a manual close
  • A shop selling both in store and online that needs a single payments record
  • A clinic or studio sending payment links ahead of appointments
  • A tour operator charging on a mobile terminal and confirming the booking on the spot
IN

What the connection listens to

  • Transaction Payment Created webhook when a payment succeeds
  • Transaction Failed for declined payments
  • Transaction Reversal Created for refunds and voids
  • A new sale or booking in the source system to charge on the terminal
OUT

What the connection does

  • Create payment orders for Smart Checkout or payment links
  • Send a charge request to the physical terminal
  • Mark the sale or booking as paid and keep the transaction ID
  • Ask the invoicing program for the invoice or credit note
  • Close the day with a payments summary by method

How it works

From the request to a working connection

  1. 01

    Request

The form names the integration, the tools involved and what should happen in each case.

  2. 02

    Review and proposal

Tejobit confirms what the API allows and sends a proposal with the flow, the price and the timeline.

  3. 03

    Setup and testing

The connection is set up with the business's own accounts and tested with real cases before it goes live.

  4. 04

    Maintenance and monitoring

Tejobit hosts the connection, follows up on errors and adapts it when the API changes.

The connection runs on Tejobit's infrastructure. The monthly fee covers hosting, monitoring and API changes.

What to prepare

  • A Viva account with API credentials available in the dashboard
  • A verified webhook URL subscribed to the transaction events
  • The terminals and account behind each shop
  • Access to the invoicing program or POS

For security, do not send passwords, API keys or tokens through the form. Credentials are requested through a secure channel when the setup starts.

Limits

  • Pushing charges to the terminal only works on models and settings that support it
  • Demo and production credentials are separate, and going live means configuring again
  • Viva does not issue invoices certified by the Portuguese Tax Authority; an invoicing program is still needed

Frequently asked questions

Before you start

Do terminal and website payments end up together?

Yes. They raise the same kind of event at Viva, and the connection records them in one place with the source channel.

My POS already integrates with Viva. Why add this?

It helps when the POS stops short of other systems: bookings, invoicing in a different program, a separate online shop, or reports that combine everything.

How is the webhook verified?

Viva requests a verification key from the URL before switching the webhook on. The connection answers it, then confirms each transaction before treating it as paid.
