Shopify integration

Connects a Shopify store to certified Portuguese invoicing, carriers and stock, driven by order webhooks.

Overview

Shopify

Shopify is the platform of choice for many Portuguese brands selling across several countries. It handles checkout and payments well, but it does not issue invoices certified by the Tax Authority, and store apps for invoicing do not always cope with series, tax numbers and credit notes.

Tejobit builds a custom app for the store, scoped to only what it needs, and wires Shopify webhooks to the rest of the business. A paid order produces an invoice in the certified program, a refund produces a credit note, and a new fulfillment sends tracking to the customer.

The connection uses the GraphQL Admin API, which is the version Shopify supports for new integrations, and stays within its query cost limits.

Use cases

What it is for

  • A Portuguese footwear brand selling across Europe and invoicing every order in InvoiceXpress
  • A homeware shop creating labels in Sendcloud and marking orders as shipped
  • A brand with an outsourced warehouse that receives paid orders in a sheet or by API
  • A shop handling returns with a credit note and a stock restock
IN

What the connection listens to

  • orders/paid when payment is confirmed
  • orders/create for orders with pending payment, such as bank transfer
  • refunds/create for full or partial refunds
  • fulfillments/create and fulfillments/update
  • inventory_levels/update for stock changes
OUT

What the connection does

  • Issue the invoice in the certified program with the customer's country, VAT and tax number
  • Create credit notes from refunds
  • Create the fulfillment with the tracking number
  • Adjust stock levels per location
  • Add tags or notes to the order for the team

How it works

From the request to a working connection

  1. 01

    Request

The form names the integration, the tools involved and what should happen in each case.

  2. 02

    Review and proposal

Tejobit confirms what the API allows and sends a proposal with the flow, the price and the timeline.

  3. 03

    Setup and testing

The connection is set up with the business's own accounts and tested with real cases before it goes live.

  4. 04

    Maintenance and monitoring

Tejobit hosts the connection, follows up on errors and adapts it when the API changes.

The connection runs on Tejobit's infrastructure. The monthly fee covers hosting, monitoring and API changes.

What to prepare

  • Admin access to the store to install the custom app
  • Where customers enter their tax number (company field or checkout attribute)
  • VAT rules per country, already set in the invoicing program
  • A carrier or warehouse account, if shipping is part of the flow

For security, do not send passwords, API keys or tokens through the form. Credentials are requested through a secure channel when the setup starts.

Limits

  • The Admin API has query cost and per-second limits, so large loads run in batches
  • Webhooks can repeat, so every order is tracked to avoid invoicing it twice
  • Customer personal data needs specific permissions on the app

Frequently asked questions

Before you start

Why not an invoicing app from the Shopify App Store?

Store apps cover common cases. With several series, sales outside the EU, partial returns or a different invoicing program, a purpose-built connection handles each case properly.

Will the app show up in my store?

No. It is a custom app installed only on your store, with nothing added to the theme or checkout, and it can be removed at any time from the Shopify admin.

Does it handle multiple currencies?

Yes. The invoice uses the order currency or the configured conversion, depending on what the invoicing program accepts.
