Overview

Sendcloud

Sendcloud is a shipping platform that brings several carriers into one dashboard, with shipping rules, a returns portal and branded tracking pages. For shops shipping to several countries it removes the need for a portal per carrier.

Sendcloud already ships integrations for the common shop platforms, but they do not always fit the real case: a custom back-office, orders that start on a marketplace, or carrier rules based on data the shop does not hold. Tejobit uses the Sendcloud API to create parcels, request labels and listen to status webhooks, all tied to the system where orders live.

When a shipment's status changes, the order is updated, and the customer can be notified by Sendcloud itself or by email, SMS or WhatsApp from the connection.

From the request to a working connection

    The form names the integration, the tools involved and what should happen in each case.

    Tejobit confirms what the API allows and sends a proposal with the flow, the price and the timeline.

    Setup and testing

    The connection is set up with the business's own accounts and tested with real cases before it goes live.

    Maintenance and monitoring

    Tejobit hosts the connection, follows up on errors and adapts it when the API changes.

The connection runs on Tejobit's infrastructure. The monthly fee covers hosting, monitoring and API changes.

What to prepare

  • A Sendcloud account with API keys (public and secret)
  • Carriers enabled on the account, with your own contracts where Sendcloud requires them
  • The sender address and rules for choosing a shipping method
  • Access to the shop or back-office the orders come from

For security, do not send passwords, API keys or tokens through the form. Credentials are requested through a secure channel when the setup starts.

Limits

  • Shipping from Portugal through Sendcloud requires your own carrier contracts, and not every carrier is available; check first
  • Some features, such as shipping rules and the returns portal, depend on the Sendcloud plan
  • The API is rate limited, so batch operations are spread over time

Frequently asked questions

Before you start

Does Sendcloud work with CTT?

Sendcloud works with CTT Express across Iberia, but the conditions for shipping from Portugal are restrictive. For domestic shipping with CTT Expresso, a direct CTT connection is usually simpler.

I already have the Sendcloud app in my shop. Why add this?

For what the app does not do: orders from other channels, shipping rules based on outside data, returns tied to invoicing, or shipment statuses mirrored in another system.

Do customers get shipping notifications?

Yes. They can come from Sendcloud, branded for the shop, or be sent by the connection by email, SMS or WhatsApp, whichever is preferred.
