Salesforce integration

Salesforce opportunities kept in sync with the ERP, payments and Slack, so sales and finance read the same numbers.

Overview

Salesforce

Salesforce suits companies with larger sales teams and formal processes: accounts, contacts, opportunities, quotes and products with price books. In Portugal it often sits next to an ERP such as Primavera, which holds tax-registered customers, items and invoicing.

Tejobit bridges the two. The connection reacts to changes in opportunities and accounts, using Change Data Capture, Platform Events or scheduled queries depending on the org's edition and setup, and creates or updates the matching ERP records. Invoices, payments and balances then flow back so reps see each customer's real position.

The certified ERP still issues invoices and reports them to the Portuguese tax authority. Salesforce gets the information, not the fiscal duty.

Use cases

What it is for

  • A manufacturer that wins opportunities in Salesforce and needs the sales order created in Primavera with the right items.
  • A distributor that wants overdue invoices and open balance on every account before reps send a new proposal.
  • A software company billing subscriptions in Stripe that wants subscription status shown on the account.
  • Sales leadership notified in Slack when large opportunities change stage.
  • A data team that needs one customer code shared by CRM and ERP for consolidated reporting.
IN

What the connection listens to

  • Changes to opportunities, accounts and contacts via Change Data Capture or Platform Events where available.
  • Scheduled SOQL queries for records modified since the last sync.
  • New documents and payments recorded in the ERP or in Stripe.
  • Approved quotes, when the process uses Salesforce Quotes.
OUT

What the connection does

  • Creates or updates customers and sales orders in Primavera from accounts and opportunities.
  • Writes invoice number, amount paid and open balance into Salesforce fields.
  • Updates Stripe subscription status on the matching account.
  • Sends Slack alerts with rules by amount, stage or region.
  • Maintains a mapping between Salesforce IDs and ERP codes.

How it works

From the request to a working connection

  1. 01

    Request

The form names the integration, the tools involved and what should happen in each case.

  2. 02

    Review and proposal

Tejobit confirms what the API allows and sends a proposal with the flow, the price and the timeline.

  3. 03

    Setup and testing

The connection is set up with the business's own accounts and tested with real cases before it goes live.

  4. 04

    Maintenance and monitoring

Tejobit hosts the connection, follows up on errors and adapts it when the API changes.

The connection runs on Tejobit's infrastructure. The monthly fee covers hosting, monitoring and API changes.

What to prepare

  • A Salesforce edition with API access (included from Enterprise up; other editions may need an add-on).
  • A dedicated integration user with a profile limited to the objects involved.
  • Custom fields in Salesforce for data coming from the ERP.
  • Access to Primavera or another ERP, and a decision on which system owns each field.

For security, do not send passwords, API keys or tokens through the form. Credentials are requested through a secure channel when the setup starts.

Limits

  • Each org has a daily API request allocation tied to edition and licences, shared by every integration.
  • Change Data Capture and Platform Events have their own delivery allocations; high volumes may call for batch syncs.
  • Existing validation rules, triggers and flows can reject updates, so they are reviewed during setup.

Frequently asked questions

Before you start

Which Salesforce edition is needed?

One with API access. Enterprise, Unlimited and Developer include it; for other editions, API access has to be confirmed before starting.

Who owns customer data, CRM or ERP?

It is decided field by field. Usually the ERP owns tax and financial data and Salesforce owns commercial data.

Will it eat into the API allocation?

It relies on events where possible and batches updates, leaving room for the other tools connected to the same org.
